This residency will take place in 2017 and will culminate in the design of an interactive platform involving Big Data treatment using artificial intelligence. It will take the form of a monumental digital mural painted by today’s paint brushes; video, networks, real-time calculus, the Internet and data flow. Fresque #1 will play on the illusion of ubiquity of networks, by connecting two distant spaces – in Japan and in France – and using the principle of video to continuously combine mirror images of two simultaneous recordings. To this will be added a visual score composed of real-time data to represent in a sensory way the breathing of the two places. A prototype, connecting for the moment, two not so distant areas will be presented at EXPERIMENTA

Artist : Lionel Palun, electro-vidéaste

Fresque #1 Maison MINATEC, 1st floor Interactive digital work Lionel Palun was invented during a residency for the FESTIVAL project, coordinated by CEA-Léti, gathering together seven European and seven Japanese partners.
