MULTI-VIEW VISUAL DEVICE –  3D VISION – MICROSTRUCTURING OF PLASTIC SURFACES – QUEST OF THE HOLOGRAPHIC GRAIL

The Laboratoire Visualisation Éclairage (Light Visualisation Laboratory) collaborates with the Théâtre Nouvelle Génération (New Generation Theatre) to develop an innovative visual device. This device will be used in a theatre production based on various visual experiences. The core part of this technology stems from the use of floating images, shattering the illusion that objects are physically present. A clever, geometrical reflection game will create a 360° vision around a three-dimensional object by merging together several reflected images. The complete device is designed as a transparent carousel: visitors traverse around a cosmos of floating artefacts, inhabited by objects that are watching us as we look at them.
