At the borders of magic, traditions and new technologies, while intersecting arts and sciences, Digital Voodoo invites spectators to discover traditional forms of expression in Voodoo culture of West Africa, as they are practised in Togo and Benin. By digitizing their myths, music, masks, costumes, choreography, the Fa oracle (a geomancy-based system of divination in the Voodoo religion), their spirits and temples, ‘Digital Voodoo’ brings Voodoo culture to the contemporary world through a ritual and globalising dance performance.
