There are scientific hypotheses that communicating with plants makes them grow better. People were \u201ctalking\u201d to the bean plants willingly \u2013 altogether 13 183 messages were received from visitors in the two-year period (2011\u20132012) of the Talk to Me project during which the installations were exhibited in five different locations with an online interface in 3 different languages (English, German and Latvian). At the end of project, the bean plants did grow well and even blossomed.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Artists<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Rasa Smite<\/strong> et <strong>Raitis Smits<\/strong>, visual artists<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Associated artist<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nRIXC Center for New Media Culture<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Project Partners<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Martins Ratniks<\/strong>, design graphic<br \/>\n<strong>Davis Bojars<\/strong>, programmation<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #f39100\"><strong>+ FORUM<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #f39100\">\u21d2<\/span>\u00a0<strong>Come and meet Rasa Smite<\/strong>, artist and co-founder of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ricx.org\">RIXC<\/a>, Center for Art and Science \u00e0 Riga (Lettonie) <strong>in the conference <a href=\"https:\/\/www.experimenta.fr\/en\/low-tech-as-source-of-innovation\/\"><em>Les low-tech comme sources de cr\u00e9ation<\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 <span style=\"color: #f39100\">Thursday 08 \/ 3.30<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #ff0000\"><strong>International Franco \/ Latvian partnership<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAs part of their international activities, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.atelier-arts-sciences.eu\">Atelier Arts Sciences<\/a> <\/strong>has established links with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ricx.org\">RIXC<\/a>, a centre for new media culture and home to a group of artists pioneering art, science and technology projects in Riga Latvia.
