DIGITAL — DATA
Orange has been working on a sensitive approach to data and digital representation in their laboratory for several years. As part of this work and the Objects-Data research project, the SonaR installation restores mobile network activity in a visual and audible way while drawing on a sensitive perception of human activity; the city comes alive thanks to its inhabitants mobility. Furthermore, Orange, via Art Factory, which is piloted by the agency entitled Décalab, also accompanies artistic projects on digital practices. Artists are supported in their creative production by technology experts and collaborators of the Groupe Orange. Thereby, artists find their place in a corporate environment. Liaisons Sousmarines (Submarine Connections) is an artwork that resulted from collaboration between Orange and the artists. A series of installations take visitors deep into the bowels of the network of cables that feeds input to our technological devices.
