MAPPING — ORIGAMI — 50-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE GRENOBLE
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Olympics in Grenoble, students at the Pôle de Design from the Argouges High School in Grenoble – BAC STD2A and BTS Graphic Design – present their 2018 graphic creations entitled PEUF FICTION. On 26th February, they will showcase a video-mapping at the Expo as well as next to the Olympic flame at Chamrousse. Their creation – performances and animated films – is based on transferring the city’s and the region’s memory and culture of the mountains using cutting-edge technology. On Thursday 8th February, students will present their playful “Peuf Performances” ” throughout the day: “Snow fall”, “Olympic Transplant” (fashion show), “Black Hole” (“teleportation in space and time, 1918, 1968, 2018, 2068), “Minatec and Nanotec”, “Piñatas”, “Meringue”, “Triplets”, “Origami Kirigami”.
*Peuf means “powder” in the local language of Savoie and by analogy “powder snow”.
