A main lévée ( Freehand)

Artist  Maison MINATEC, Ground floor

« À main levé » places drawing at the core of new technology approaches. A device with an infrared sensor allows visitors to draw in the surrounding space. To what extent is the drawn line defined by the body and its movement? The project challenges the constraints of traditional drawing through questioning in a sensory way about the continuum between paper, the act of tracing a line and an immersive environment. It opens up further questions as what would this device might become in a musician’s, choreographer’s, orchestra director’s or even a child’s hands? Come and test this sensory experience using a 3D drawing device and a virtual helmet, and discover this artist’s performance each morning of the show.
