Atelier Arts Sciences

The Atelier Arts Sciences, shared by Hexagone Scène Nationale Arts Sciences and CEA Grenoble, is a common innovation research platform at the intersection of the worlds of arts, science, technology and manufacturing. They organise residencies, which are collective research tenures based on a common project allowing project partners to build bridges, to create common ground and to be mutually inspired. Hexagone Scène Nationale Arts Sciences – Meylan
Hexagone Scène Nationale Arts Sciences – Meylan, located in the Grenoble area, hosts over 30 stage productions per season in its 560-seat auditorium for 30,000 spectators from the Grenoble area in a multidisciplinary programming policy. Beyond the ‘traditional’ vocations of production, artistic distribution and the cultural development of a ‘scène nationale’, Hexagone, since 2002, has engaged in research, by organising the Rencontres-i Atelier Arts Sciences Biennale, and in 2007, creating a joint research laboratory with CEA Grenoble called Atelier Arts Sciences. CEA
Located in the heart of a prolific scientific, university and industrial region, CEA Grenoble dedicates its core research to developing new technologies in the fields of energy, health, information, and communication. From electric batteries through materials and biotechnology to nanotechnology, CEA Grenoble is at the cutting edge of technological research and is actively involved in the transfer of knowledge towards industry.
Atelier Arts Sciences is one of three Open Innovation platforms at CEA that also encompasses the ENSCI design residency, Les Ateliers Grenoble and IDEAs Laboratory, a platform for industrial utilization by users. Minatec is the first European centre for micro and nanotechnologies aimed at becoming a world leader in innovation and technology. Its success is based on a powerful collaborative work dynamic; pooling of resources and competencies, proximity of on-site participants, project work and several technology platforms… Minatec is part of CEA Grenoble. Minatec has hosted EXPERIMENTA for four years.

La Fête de la Science
La Fête de la Science is an annual national event shaped with a regional scope. Its goal is to bring citizens of science closer to the latest advances in science by laying the groundwork for a common scientific culture. Numerous players in the field are engaged in this event and open their doors to its visitors. While the EXPERIMENTA Show takes place during the Fête de la Science every year, it nonetheless does not aim at popularizing science.
