Partition(s)

Maison MINATEC, Ground floor

This is an interactive installation integrating spectators’ vision as a means of exploring and triggering musical sequences through an ocular monitoring system. Looking at a screen, the spectator can reveal various graphic partitions. The device is operated by vision itself. This project allows to experiment with the potentials of an artwork exposed to the spectator’s vision, to see how it is ‘conditioned’ by the ways the user engages with it and the choices they make. Using vision as a means of interaction echoes numerous scientific and technological research on the potentials of ‘controlling’ a machine through vision.
