How are ancestral rites reinvented in the digital technology era? How does technology contribute to the creation of new rites and new mythologies? Digital tools that give rhythm to our daily life could be considered as new gods related to emerging new beliefs. To what extent do these technologies generate new “magic thoughts”? Does the supposedly perfect character of these tools yield to worshipping or idolizing technology? In parallel to this, what is the relationship weaved between our body and technology, what is its impact on our relationship with others, other people’s bodies and the territory where we live? During this round table discussion, speakers will attempt to find answers to these questions by revealing the links between rites, bodily existence and new technologies.
